Janie

I am convinced my son doesn't know what sleep is any more. But the poor guy is working on some teeth, so I guess I can't blame him. It's getting late [or early rather] so I thought I'd post quick before I head to bed ;)

These were taken of Janie for her Christmas cards. I've know "of" Janie for quite a few years now through my sister, but just had the pleasure of officially meeting her over the summer. She is a beautiful person in every way. It's been fun getting to know her..

Hope you all enjoy looking at them..My husband is OFF this week so we have many fun things planned. You might not see me on here until the new year, but I am looking forward to all of the engagement, family, wedding, and portrait shoots I will be posting! [so stop by and visit frequently! ;)]

Wishing you all a healthy and happy new year!

[tiny]Molly

I remember when Jimmy used to chase me around the yard trying to steal a kiss from me. You'd think at the age of four that he wouldn't even know what a "girlfriend" was. I was around twelve at the time so whenever we played house out in the old barn he was my "baby".. we used to run around outside and pretend like we were being bombed by airplanes in the sky, so we would take cover and I would shield him from harm [it's funny the things kids do ;)] I have so many memories with him and his sister heather. They aren't blood relatives, but they are family and I am so thankful to have them as a part of my life...

It's hard for me to believe he has a baby now. Molly was born a little over 5 lbs...it's amazing how small they are when they are first born. [I just had my son six months ago and can't hardly remember him that small!] It's always fun to hold those tiny fingers and toes, and the reminder that there is still innocence and good in the world.

Congratulations Jimmy and Tabitha!

I have a huge fetish for baby feet ;)

Sara and Justin

Sara and justin live in Wisconsin and found out about me through my husband. Sara and Will went to high school together. While i was editing these, I realized how much I really loved the bare trees as a back drop. Fall is such a great season and full of color, but the non traditional bare trees kind of looked cool I thought. Appropriate for Christmas pictures too ;) [and I know I know..I am obsessed with tall grass..can't help it ;)]

I have to be honest..I think we spent more time talking to each other than actually taking pictures ;) It was such a cold day, but that didn't really seem to matter because there were so many things to talk about! I love meeting new clients and hitting it off right away. Then all of the sudden they are friends and not so much on the formal side of things anymore. I am glad to have Sara as a friend now!

My favorite thing about them..you can just tell how much Justin loves Sara by the way he looks at her. It's just all over him. [one of the many reason's I LOVE my job so much!]

Christina, Corey and Kendrick

Christina and Corey just got married in October, and I had the privilege of photographing their wedding and family photos! Christina is such an amazing mom..I loved how she was with Kendrick at the wedding, he was always at her side. When I was editing their images I couldn't help but to smile.

Thank you both for giving me the opportunity to share in such a special time of your lives! You are amazing people, and great parents!

Christmas time at the Haas home

There's nothing like the sound of annie's laugh.. and how her face lit up when we put the tree up was priceless. This year is her first official Christmas as a toddler and everything around is something new and exciting[to get into]. She helped decorate the tree [as much as she could] and helped daddy put the "charlie brown" lights on.. [and proceeded with putting them in her mouth..not a good idea!] she unplugged the lights, then plugged them in again. She twirled around in the tree skirt while grinning from ear to ear and also helped me make some chocolate peanut butter cookies. [Or maybe I should say "helped eat the batter"].

It's my favorite season for so many reasons. I am so thrilled about this year because Annie and Cash make it so much fun. Not that it wasn't good before, just a different good. I love my family so much and I am so thankful for them and the joy they've added to my life.

I'm in the process of sewing the kid's names on their stockings..I'll post a better picture when they are done!

My mom always bought us ornaments every year growing up, and has continued the tradition with Annie & Cash. I think Annie's is really cute..it's a sucker ;)

The Murray family

I am so in love with Hannah's little growing family. Hannah and Tristan so graciously let me take their pictures over a year ago when I was "just starting out" at this whole thing. I feel like I've come a long way since then [even though with beautiful people it's hard to take a bad picture ;)]

These were taken in the morning [I know not the best time to do them] but it's what worked out for both of us..and I think they turned out pretty good ;) Hannah, I could tell you which one to choose for your christmas card..but I guess I'll let you choose ;) [Hope you love them, and thanks for having me do them!] It was fun seeing you and your beautiful family again..and I got to meet sweet little Savannah! Merry Christmas!
